. . . Are you posting enough?
. . . . . . Or are you posting too much?
Yes, it’s possible to post too much – believe it or not!
By posting too much social media channels seem to restrict the organic reach you will get on posts. This means you need to carefully revise how you post. Ideally you want to grab peoples attention so they engage with the post which will help the organic reach grow.
If you notice a business page is posting more than 2 times a day on Facebook and have highly engaging posts they are probably paying a lot for Facebook Ads. However, not all companies have the budget to use on social media adverts and lots of money is wasted on social media adverts with people not knowing how to run adverts properly.
The key is to know your audience and know the best times to post throughout the day and the best time to post on each separate day. For example Friday evening will not be as popular as posting Sunday afternoon – typically.
OUR TIP – For a week trial this: Post 2 times per day on Facebook, 3 times on Twitter & 3 times on Instagram. Try posting at different times but space your posts out throughout the day as posting in quick succession is known to reduce organic reach.
. . . . By trialling this you will get a better idea of what works. ALWAYS review the engagement and what posts are working for you and repeat this process.
Instagram works different to Facebook and Twitter – It will allow you to post more and still get high engagement (If you know how to best optimise a post).
